The course explores advanced strategies in enzymatic and whole-cell biocatalysis for the conversion of renewable substrates into high-value chemicals, fuels, and materials. Enzyme engineering, metabolic pathway design, process optimization, and integration into modern biorefineries will be examined in depth. Particular attention will be given to sustainable technologies, industrial case studies, and emerging trends in bio-based production.
