The course deals with organocatalysis applied to asymmetric synthesis, illustrating different types of catalysts and activation modes to obtain complex molecules, including heterocyclic structures and compounds with biological activity. Advanced examples of combined catalysis will be presented, in which organocatalysts work synergistically with metal catalysis and photocatalysis under one-pot conditions through cascade sequences.
